Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates must possess either 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science OR one year of experience in information technology.
Duties Description Reporting to Canals’ Director of Technical Services, and liaising with NYPA’s IT group, the duties of the requested seasonal positions include, but are not limited to, the following: •Manage Desktop & Laptop Lifecycle; (Configuring & Installation of Equipment, End User training / Support, Tracking of all Assets from purchase through to disposal). •Mobile devices (Cell Phones) configuration, equipment delivery, end user training and support. •Research, evaluate, select hardware, software to meet the needs to the business as it pertains to introduction of new technology. •Develop and maintain a library of documentation pertaining to hardware/software installations. •Support Help Desk in a level 2 capacity. •Create and maintain service metrics. •The use of Remote Software Tools as required to manage Desktop PCs, Laptops. •Effectively respond to help desk tickets and provide issue resolution. •Verifying that applications are functioning properly after any change, patch, upgrade, etc. to be updated.
